Best Comments I've Seen: Championship Series

This is something new I want to do with the podcast, so I thought it would be fun to try it out here.

Over the first few nights of the Championship Series I've seen a lot of really good posts on Twitter/X that I would like to share my thoughts on.

If you listened to episode 124 of the podcast, you heard the first comment I found. It came courtesy of Coach Benoit on Twitter.

I gave my thoughts on the episode, but I completely agree with everything he says here. The Charm got robbed, and lacrosse Twitter was in agreement on that. Coaches in the WLL compared to the "facilitators" in Athletes Unlimited is a very big difference - and in the best way. Finally, Sydni Black's game was built for Sixes lacrosse.

Next, I really enjoyed this post by Diggs. I mean I have no notes here. The post itself is fantastic, including the use of "trenta'd". TJ Malone did TJ Malone things, only to be one-upped by Matt Campbell in the same game. I also found the reply to the post humorous, suggesting that next time around the Whipsnakes simply just decline their Championship Series invite. That would likely pass it along to the next team in line. That team this year would have been the Denver Outlaws.

Finally, Mark - a good friend of the podcast - posted this late in the Boston Guard vs Maryland Charm game. Through two games, the Guard have been called for nine penalties compared to opponents' 13. In the specific game vs the Charm, penalties were 7-3 against the Charm. The biggest call of the game went against the Charm. Alex Aust Holman was called for a three minute game disqualification on a dangerous shot that hit Marge Donovan in the side of the head. Donovan was subsequently issued a 30 second penalty for being in the crease illegally at the time Holman shot. This caused many to wonder why Holman was punished so harshly if Donovan was called for an infraction that would have prevented the dangerous shot from happening in the first place.
